A tower you climb one set at a time

Each tower has its own breed of monster, and new towers open as players climb. A tower is made of blocks of eight steps: six fights, a chest and a boss at the top. Every rep the camera counts is a hit, and every beaten monster moves your hero one step up.

The towers

A breed on every tower

The first tower is two blocks long. Every tower after it has five, and the fights grow from one monster to small packs.

  1. 3

    Crooked Pinewood

Goblins in a wet, tangled forest.

  2. 2

    Old Pyre

Skeletons: bare bones first, then soldiers, cracked and rusty veterans.

  3. 1

    Rotten Hollow

Slime: drops and green blobs. Two blocks long, a training ground.

The fight

Every rep lands, every pause costs

The big number on the fight screen is still your real rep count.

Rage and rush

Every fifth rep in a row hits harder. A pause longer than six seconds breaks the chain, so one rep a minute never builds rage. Finish a monster and your next five reps hit harder too.

The monster hits back

A pause of up to 25 seconds is free, and the clock resets with every rep. Rest longer and the monster strikes every 7 seconds until you move again. Bosses hit more often.

Wounds stay

Damage you leave on a monster is kept and heals only over about a day. Once cleared, a step stays cleared.

The Pushgard tower screen: the hero’s place on the tower, the steps left and the boss in the arch.
In the app

Your place on the tower

The tower screen shows where your hero stands, how many steps are left in the tower and the boss waiting at the top of the block.

Questions

The climb, answered

Difficulty, unfinished fights and what comes after the last tower.

How hard is a fight?

A monster costs about one of your own sets. The price is set from the max you measured, so the climb is as steep for a beginner as for someone who trains every day.

What if I can’t finish a monster?

The damage stays on it. It heals slowly, over about a day, so a fight you can’t win in one set is still yours in two.

Do beaten monsters come back?

No. Once a step is cleared it stays cleared. The tower is a climb, not a treadmill.

What happens after the last tower?

New towers open as players climb. If you reach the top before the next one is ready, your hero waits at its foot.
