How the camera counts your reps
Your phone stands on the floor with the front camera facing you. On the phone, each frame becomes a set of body points, and two signals have to agree before a rep counts. Then the rep lands on the monster in front of you.
Free on iPhone and Android. The video stays on your phone.
The front camera sees you. The frame never leaves the phone.
The camera counts. The monster feels it.
No band to wear and no button to tap. Your phone watches from the floor and counts only the reps you finish.

Prop your phone on the floor
Lean it on a wall or a shoe with the front camera facing you, then get into position. The video never leaves the phone.

The pose model follows your arms and shoulders. Go low enough and the rep counts. Stop halfway and it doesn’t, however fast you are.

8Every rep hits the monster
Each counted rep is a strike. Five in a row land with rage. Rest too long and the monster hits back, so the set keeps moving.
Built so duels stay fair
Strangers fight each other on rep counts, so the count has to be just as strict for everyone.
Measured against your body
At the start of a set the counter learns your top position while you hold still. Depth is measured from there, so it fits your body instead of a fixed number of pixels.
Two signals per rep
For push-ups your arms have to fold, hands closer to your shoulders, and your shoulders have to look wider as you come closer to the camera. Squats, crunches and plank each have their own pair of signals and their own detector.
The full push-up guide shows what full depth looks like and how to check it without a camera.
On the phone
The pose model runs on the device and turns each frame into 33 body points. The counter only works with those points; the camera image is not uploaded.
From count to fight
Every counted rep hits the monster, and every fifth rep in a row hits with rage. A pause of up to 25 seconds is free; after that the monster hits back every 7 seconds until you start again.
Counting, answered
Privacy, fairness and the cases where a rep is lost.
Does the video leave my phone?
No. The pose model runs on the device and turns each frame into body points. The counter works on those points, and the camera image is not uploaded.
Why do two signals have to agree?
One signal alone is easy to fake by accident: a nod, a sagging hip, a shift of the phone. When your arms fold and your shoulders look wider, both to full depth, it was a real push-up.
Does it work in any position?
Push-ups and squats are read from the front, crunches and plank from the side, with the phone standing on the floor. The phone can stand upright or on its side.
When does it not count?
When the camera can’t see what it measures: shoulders and elbows for push-ups, your whole body for squats. If you leave the frame or the phone falls over, those reps are lost.
Is the plank counted in reps?
No, the plank is timed. The camera checks from the side that you hold a straight line, and the seconds run while the pose holds.
