A lot of Reddit reading starts without the app: a search result lands on a thread, and an hour later you are still there. That makes the web version as important to lock as the app.
On iPhone
Open Pick apps from App Lock and tick Reddit, then scroll to the websites part of the same window for the step below.
Add reddit.com under websites. For Reddit this matters as much as the app, because search results open threads in Safari.
On Android
Reddit appears in the game’s list after the two permissions from the setup guide are granted.
The lock on Android covers installed apps only. On Android, Reddit in a browser stays open. If most of your Reddit time starts in Google, pick the browser too, knowing it locks every website with it.
Locking the browser is a trade
On Android, picking the browser means every website costs minutes, not just Reddit. Some people want exactly that; others need the browser for work. Try the app alone for a week and look at the weekly time next to each app in the picker before you widen the lock.
At the starting rate 20 push-ups buy 20 minutes, and the clock stops when you close the app.
